VMS Racing's 4340 Chrome Moly Tow hook is a lightweight, easy to install solution for a FRONT tow hook on your 2005-2013 C6 Corvette. It’s made of 4340 Chrome Moly steel (for the ultimate in lightweight and strength), and then powdercoated red for durability, and to make it easy for the safety crew to find it!The FRONT C6 Tow hook will require that remove your front bumper and that you drill two 33/64" holes in the front of the frame, behind the grill. You will need to trim a very small amount off the top of the grill so that the tow hook can pass through it. The tow hook will bolt on to the chassis using the included RivNuts and RivNut installation tool. The tow hook can be mounted on either the right or left side of the car. True Spike has the answer with the new True Spike Recovery Hook Shackle Pin Kit and it is just what you need! It includes a 3/4" diameter stainless steel pin, two C-clips, and two cool 51mm (2-inch) True Spike billet aluminum spikes.   Note: The assembled length of the pin and spikes is roughly 7 inches from tip to tip. Please make sure that your bumper has enough clearance before purchasing.                    Installation couldn't be easier —just insert the pin, clip it in place with the included C-clips, and screw on the spikes.
